We have considerable experience of the mechanisms of the Party Wall Etc. Act 1996 and indeed Andrew Moulsdale was undertaking party wall work in London under the London Buildings Act 1939, long before the more recent legislation extended party wall procedures country wide.

In most instances, works go well and little damage is occasioned to neighbours’ property. On occasion, however, serious failure can result in collapse and catastrophic damage. The existence of a Party Wall Award ensures that all parties are fully protected and damage and associated costs are recovered, as appropriate.

We are able to act on behalf of building and adjoining owners and to provide sound practical knowledge and advice relating to the necessary steps and protocol involved in all party wall matters and, where appropriate, boundary issues.
